Folklore and Ghost Stories of Hyde Hall & Beyond.
November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Virgil Historical Society and Marathon Area Historical Society welcome professor of the peculiar, John Aborn. Serving as the program Program Director at Hyde Hall, Mr. Aborn weaves torrid tales of wonder with his talk “Folklore and Ghost Stories of Hyde Hall and Beyond.”
Haunted Hyde Hall sits on Otsego Lake in Cooperstown, and was originally built as the country mansion of George Clarke. Mr. Aborn will entertain us with many myths, legends, and ghost stories swirling around the dark waters of Otsego Lake, known as Glimmerglass in James Fenimore Cooper’s Leatherstocking Tales.
Mark your calendars. This FREE event will take place at 7pm at the Virgil Town Hall on Thursday, November 21.
