“The Loomis Gang of Nine Mile Swamp” Saturday, March 15, 2025, 1:00 pm at the CNY Living History Center, 4386 US Rte. 11, Cortland, NY.

Vicky House, Oxford Town/Village Historian, will share her PowerPoint presentation on the “Gang” that dominated upstate New York for decades. From counterfeiting, horse stealing, witness intimidation, and even murder, this family reigned over the countryside and left their mark in our history.

Whether or not you are a descendant of the Loomis family, you will want to hear what started their reign and how it ended. If you are a descendant, we would love to hear your stories.

Free for children 5 & under, museum members & AD military; $7 for youth aged 6-18; $12 for seniors, AAA members, veterans; $15 for adults. Admission price includes the event and tours of all CNY Living History Center Museums: Homeville Museum, Brockway Museum, Agricultural Exhibits, Antique Firehouse.
