Tick Tock and Tall Tales: A Horological Happening
August 8 @ 8:00 am - August 9 @ 5:00 pm

Time flies—unless you’re at the Eastern States Regional, where it ticks, tocks, chimes, and occasionally cuckoos. This isn’t just any collector’s meet-up. It’s the 55th annual gathering of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, drawing horology enthusiasts from across the Northeast to marvel at mechanical mysteries, trade timeless treasures, and swap stories that are anything but secondhand.
Explore a sprawling mart filled with clocks, watches, tools, and dusty tomes that whisper of lost hours and forgotten makers. Sit in on hands-on workshops where novices become time tamers and masters reveal their secrets. And if you’ve picked up an odd little timepiece that seems to tick backwards or knows too much… bring it to the Antique Watch & Clock Roadshow. You never know what tales the gears might tell.
It’s all happening at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland, now the new (and aptly timed) home for this curious convention. Open to the public, $30 at the door, and free if you’re 18 or under—because it’s never too early to develop a healthy obsession with antique mechanisms and mysterious machinery.
